Display and screen:

Nokia 3The built quality of this phone is really good and a plastic panel is provided at back. Nokia 3 has a screen size of 5 inches and the screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (~294 PPI pixel density).

If we talk about the display type, IPS (In-plane Switching) LCD capacitive touchscreen providing good viewing angles and great color combinations are used. Corning Gorilla Glass protects the screen from scratches.

You will see the dedicated touch keypress buttons at the front with no back lid LED. This phone comes with a number of preinstalled Google applications and a simple UI (User Interface).

Core Engine

First of all, it runs on the upgraded Android OS, v7.0 (Nougat) and they are planning to upgrade it to Android 8.0 (Oreo). This time they are really compromising with the processor. Mediatek MT6737 chipset, Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T720MP1 coupled with 2 GB RAM are provided. Only one variant of this phone will be available. Since the price range is too low, I think this one variant would be enough.

  • Back Camera: Primary camera of 8 MP with autofocus quality. Some of the camera features are Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama shot. Single LED flash is provided at the back panel.
  • Front Camera: Selfie shooter of 8 MP is provided at the top left corner. The proximity sensor is also provided at the same place. At the top right corner, you will see the brand name.

Pros of Nokia 3

  • A mid range phone with updated Android OS
  • Dedicated slot for microSD card, expandable memory up to 128 GB
  • Stunning looks and Nokia trust.

Cons of Nokia 3

  • MediaTek 6737 quad-core processor
  • Touch buttons at front with no back lid LED

Overall Nokia 3 is a good device in a pocket-friendly price range. If we don’t need a high-speed processor then this smartphone is definitely the first choice. Look wise, this phone really feels great in hands.
