IRCTC Next Gen eWallet: Registration, E Ticketing, Cancellation & Refund

IRCTC e-Wallet is a scheme in which a user can deposit money in his IRCTC wallet. This deposited money then later can be used as a payment option. Not only this, payment through eWallet can be added to the other payment options available on IRCTC. You can use your eWallet for booking e-tickets.

IRCTC e-Wallet users are verified and certified through their PAN or Aadhaar number in an online verification process. Booking through eWallet is very secure an OTP is sent to your registered mobile number for each booking.


IRCTC Ewallet Registration

  1. First of all, login to the official site by providing your username and password or click here
  2. Now, click on the “IRCTC eWallet” on the top menu
  3. Now, click on the “Registration now” option
  4. After this, you will be asked to verify your PAN or Aadhaar number. One of the numbers (PAN & Aadhaar) is mandatory.
  5. After verifying your PAN & Aadhaar number, it will ask for IRCTC eWallet registration fee
  6. Now, create a transaction password and reconfirm the same password. Keep this password confidential as it will be asked at the time of booking
  7. In the next step, select the bank for the payment of the registration fee from the list (Registration fee is non-refundable)
  8. After successful payment, you will automatically be logged out and you will receive a successful registration message.

How to Deposit Money in IRCTC Ewallet?

  1. First of all, login to the official site by providing your username and password or click here
  2. To deposit money in your eWallet click to ‘IRCTC Ewallet DEPOSIT’ link on the left navigation bar below the top menu. Click on that option and enter the amount you wish to deposit and reconfirm the same amount.
  3. Now, select the payment option from the drop-down menu and click on submit button

Note: You can deposit a minimum account of Rs. 100 and the maximum amount of Rs. 10,000

After that User will be redirected to “Deposit History” page


How to use IRCTC Ewallet for Booking E-Tickets?

Once you have planned the travel and reach the Payment Gateway Page. Here, you have to select “IRCTC eWallet” as a payment option. Once you select this option you will ask to submit your transaction password. After entering your password you will be able to see your eWallet balance as well as remaining balance after payment. The amount will be debited from your eWallet and you will be redirected to the OTP page. Submit you OTP to confirm the transaction. Congratulations! You are done here.


What If I Forgot my Password?

If you forgot your password, simply click on Forgotten Password. After this, you will be redirected to a page where you have to submit your PAN & PAN card holder’s first name. After submitting these terms, you will receive an OTP on your registered number. Submit you OTP. After verification, you can a new password.


Cancellation of Ticket & Refund

  1. First of all, login to the official site by providing your username and password or click here
  2. Go to “My Transaction” and then “Booked Ticket History”
  3. You will find “Cancel Ticket” option there. Click on it.
  4. At the same page, you can see the status of the eWallet refund.
